In regards to our employees and vendors, this information may also include contact details, payment information, professional qualifications, financial information, and information provided by the employee or vendor in its resume. When requested by a client and permitted under applicable law, HolaDoctor, Inc. may also cause criminal background checks to be conducted on all employees as well as seek such information concerning key vendors or consultants who may be retained by them. If criminal background checks are needed by clients for our vendors, HolaDoctor, Inc. may accommodate this request if permitted under local law and for an additional fee. Roberto Estrada, co-founder of HolaDoctor, currently oversees the company, chairs the Board of Directors, leads relationships with strategic clients and investors, and supervises the senior executives.
From 1999 to the present, Mr. Estrada established and successfully grew an internet-based company through a very challenging and unpredictable period in the market.
From 1996-1999, he was President of Penta Resources, Inc., an export company involved in the Latin American paper and paint industries. From 1994-1996, Mr. Estrada was Vice President of Export Sales for Polar Minerals, where he was responsible for sales and marketing functions in all countries in Latin America. Prior to that, he held various positions at ECC International, most recently as Latin American Sales Manager. Mr. Estrada has traveled extensively throughout Latin America over the last twenty five years and has conducted business in most Latin American countries.
Mr. Estrada received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Schroeder, co-founder of HolaDoctor, currently directs HolaDoctor’s multicultural insights and research services, and oversees the development the Company’s health programs. Dr. Schroeder is an expert in global health and a former tenured associate professor at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Schroeder retains a faculty appointment at Emory in the Department of Global Health where he continues to teach.
Prior to Emory, Dr. Schroeder was a post‑doctoral fellow at Cornell University from 1992 to 1993. Between 1989 and 1991, he lived in Guatemala and worked for the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama. Dr. Schroeder has worked throughout Latin America for more than two decades and is fluent in Spanish. He has received numerous honors and awards including a Future Leader Award (International Life Sciences Institute of North America, 1998), Professor of the Year (Emory School of Public Health, 1997), and a Fulbright Fellowship (Indonesia, 1985-1986).
Dr. Schroeder received his PhD and MPH degrees from Johns Hopkins University in 1992 and a BA with honors and distinction from Stanford University in 1984. Dr. Schroeder is the author of a book and various articles. He has worked in or traveled to over 75 countries.
Mr. Lopez joined HolaDoctor in 2011; he brings 30 years of successful experience in both traditional and digital (web and mobile) Hispanic. An Emmy award nominee, Mr. Lopez is the former SVP of Programming for Univision Interactive Media, where he managed the day-to-day operations of the largest Spanish-language portal in the U.S., with over 17 million monthly unique visitors and 300 million monthly pages of content served.
While at Univision, Mr. Lopez had direct responsibility for Univision.com -- Univision’s main public portal -- as well as for 18 city-specific websites, 60 radio station websites and 18 TV station websites. He led the creation and production of online and mobile content (including video) and supervised a team of 160 media professionals. Mr. Lopez also led bureaus in six cities in the U.S and Mexico, and managed editorial staff in several other Latin-American countries. He was instrumental in the launch of the Univision mobile platforms including mobile web and mobile apps.
Prior to his digital years, Mr. Lopez was the on-air correspondent and Mexico City Bureau Chief for Noticiero Univision, CNN’s Spanish language Roving Correspondent for the west coast, the regional Latin American Bureau Chief for the Arizona Republic, and News Manager for Mexico for ABC News. He is a respected speaker on the Hispanic digital media marketplace and its evolution.
Mr. Lopez studied Political Science and Journalism at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and was awarded a John S Knight Fellowship at Stanford University in 1998. He was also a fellow at the World Press Institute (WPI) in Macallester College in Saint Paul, MN. WPI is an international media program that each year awards fellowships to leading journalists from around the world.
Mr. Butler joined the HolaDoctor team in 2012; his experience includes serving as the managing partner and co-founder of Catalyst Partners, an Atlanta based management consulting and investment platform specializing in financial consulting for early stage to middle market companies across multiple industries. As part of his role with Catalyst Partners, Mr. Butler has served as an investor and chief financial officer of three Atlanta based companies with businesses focused on healthcare software and services, healthcare device manufacturing, and corporate goods and services.
Prior to his consulting and investment work with Catalyst Partners, Mr. Butler was a Senior Lender and Underwriter at GE Capital’s Corporate Lending Group which was preceded by seven domestic and international assignments in finance and accounting at a variety of different businesses within GE Capital.
Mr. Butler is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina as well as GE Capital’s Financial Management Program.
Ms. Rodriguez joined HolaDoctor in 2007; she oversees sales and marketing support, inside sales, translation sales & operations and our bilingual contact center operations. She was instrumental in implementing HolaDoctor’s private portal business in Puerto Rico and Mexico, our bilingual contact center, and has worked closely with the company’s online advertising and custom content clients for the past 3 years.
Prior to this position, Ms. Rodriguez led the implementation of a $2.5M Hispanic Obesity Prevention and Education program in the state of Florida that HolaDoctor was hired to develop and implement by the Florida Department of Health. She has also led Hispanic market research projects conducted throughout the U.S. on the company’s behalf.
Prior to HolaDoctor, Ms. Rodriguez worked for PPG Industries where she supported over $4M in annual sales as international account manager. Prior to PPG, Catalina worked at Elite Flooring and Design where she supervised 100+ accounts and over 60 independent contractors as Field Service Manager.
Singing and songwriting has been one of Ms. Rodriguez’s continuing interests. In 2002 she represented Colombia, her native country, in the international Viña del Mar song festival, where she won 2nd place, appearing before a live audience of 30,000 and a global TV audience. She has also worked with renowned Latin music producers and songwriters, and appears as a background vocalist for more than 20 famous Latin music artist albums.
Ms. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, Ms. Rodriguez pursued 2 years of jazz studies at University of North Texas where she collaborated with 9-time Grammy award winner Norah Jones.
Ms. Sanchez-Andres is Vice President of Programming for HolaDoctor, responsible for leading an experienced team of multi-national digital editors and producers who develop daily engaging content for Hispanics.
Considered one of the most experienced publishers in the Hispanic digital space, Ms. Sanchez-Andres has been in charge of editorial and production teams for over a decade. Her knowledge of multimedia narratives, as well as multiplatform executions and digital usability makes her a respected authority in the field of interactive media.
From 2000 to 2012, Ms. Sanchez-Andres worked as editor-in-chief and vice president of programming at Univision Interactive Media, where she was in charge of editorial content production for their digital properties, including 16 national verticals, as well as online content distribution to mobile. Her responsibilities included not only programming supervision of this extensive operation but also supervision of design, architecture, social media and community development projects for Univision.com, which reached a 20 million unique user audience.
Between 1980 and 1999, Ms. Sanchez-Andres worked as a writer and editor at the Argentine newspaper La Nacion, in Buenos Aires. She also served as coordinator of Grupo de Diarios de America (GDA), a network comprising the major newspapers in Latin America.
In 1998 she received the John S. Knight Fellowship for professional journalists to specialize in new media at Stanford University, California. Ms. Sanchez-Andres is a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) and she has served as a judge in international online journalism panels and competitions and has conducted workshops at the FNPI (Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Ibamericano/New Journalism Foundation).
Mr. Fueyo is a digital communications specialist with over fourteen years of professional experience. Survivor of the “dot-com bubble,” he managed several online editorial projects from its inception both in his native Spain and United States. Mr. Fueyo has a solid background in SEO, SEM and Social Media strategies, working in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. He is an expert in the implementation of strategies to achieve high SERP on Search Engines, including social media optimization. Recently, he was assigned to develop the client service department and assist sales team to translate the advertisers’ goals into successful media plans.
Previous to HolaDoctor Inc., Mr. Fueyo led a digital venture at Televisa International, the largest Spanish Language media company in the world, where he supervised all the teams involved and explored new business opportunities for the company.
Mr. Fueyo has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Foreign Affairs and Communications from the same institution.
Mr. Prieto joined HolaDoctor in 2010, bringing 12+ years of experience developing leading websites targeting Hispanic consumers in the United States and Latin America.
Prior to joining HolaDoctor, Mr. Prieto was the Creative Director of Goal.com, the leading web destination dedicated to the sport of soccer. His responsibilities included: maintaining and developing the design of the website (available in 17 languages); addressing and implementing the need for usability development in redesign of site; and designing and usability accounting
Mr. Prieto also worked as the Assistant Art Director at Univision Interactive Media for six years. Additionally, he was responsible for leading the product development department for Univision.com, the largest Hispanic Web portal in the United States. He was awarded with the PROMAX / BDA
GOLD - Marketing Presentation award for his Univision.com “Online Media Kit” at the Promax North America Awards in 2007.
Mr. Prieto received his Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design & Interactive Multimedia (Título en Diseño Gráfico y Multimedia Interactiva) from Taller 5 in Colombia, South America.
Mr. Hernandez joined HolaDoctor in 2013; his current responsibilities include directing digital marketing efforts and database growth.
Prior to joining HolaDoctor, Mr. Hernandez was head of the business intelligence team for Codere, a very large gambling company from Spain, where he managed the research and analysis for their online operations. He also led digital marketing efforts at Warner Bros Spain and helped launch one of the first video on demand companies in Europe. He comes from an entrepreneurial background, having developed two start-ups in Spain and Mexico.
Mr. Hernandez holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana de México and an MBA from the Escuela Europea de Negocios in Spain.
Ms. Keefe-Oates works as a Program Manager for HolaDoctor where she currently coordinates and promotes the educational program focused on the Affordable Care Act. In her role, Ms. Keefe-Oates works with insurance companies and health promoter organizations in four states to educate individuals about health care reform and the benefits of health insurance.
Before joining HolaDoctor, Ms. Keefe-Oates worked as program manager for the Hispanic Health Coalition of Georgia where she helped coordinate the Coalition’s working groups, health education programs and outreach events. Her work has focused on adolescent and family health, as well as healthcare access. In addition to her work nationally, Ms. Keefe-Oates has also worked on health projects in Paraguay and the Dominican Republic, where she spent three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
Ms. Keefe-Oates received a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from Macalester College and a Master of Public Health from Emory University.
Ms. Beorlegui is currently a Managing Editor at HolaDoctor.com responsible for the U.S health insurance and diabetes topics.
Ms. Beorlegui became a highly trained specialist in digital journalism with a focus on the U.S. Hispanic community working for Univision.com for eight years during which she managed a set of large lifestyle sites which included Home & Garden, Family, and Health. At Univision she managed production staffs both in the U.S. as well as in Latin America and oversaw all aspects of digital production.
Ms. Beorlegui worked as a radio producer at a local station in Mendoza, Argentina, her hometown province. The production of "Hora Libre" (Prensario Award and Jean Cartier Award in1991) and "La Década de los '80s" (Martin Fierro's award-winning special radio program) earned her national recognition.
Ms. Beorlegui, who received her degree in journalism from National University of Cuyo, Argentina, lives in Miami with her three children and husband. "Working as a journalist, being a mother and trying to live a healthy and happy life made me realize eating the right food and exercising is a pleasure and a great example for my kids."
Ms. Andaló is Senior Managing Editor in news, health and wellness since August, 2013. She worked as managing editor with El Tiempo Latino (2006-2013), the Hispanic weekly newspaper that belongs to The Washington Post Co., in Washington, DC. Under her leadership the newspaper won the José Martí Gold Award for Outstanding Weekly Newspaper, awarded by the National Association of Hispanic Publications, seven years in a row. She also worked as health communication officer with the Pan American Health Organization (2002-2005).
In her country Ms. Andaló worked as reporter and editor with Clarín newspaper (1990-2002), where she created Special Health Pages and covered the International Aids Conference in Switzerland (1998) and South Africa (2000), among other health events around the world. Ms. Andaló, a former fellow with the Kaiser Family Foundation Fellowship for Health Journalists (2009-2010), used her fellowship to investigate the role community health centers play offering healthcare to the underserved.
Ms. Andaló is also former fellow with the Knight Public Health Journalism Media Fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she worked in the HIV/Aids field at San Francisco Department of Health. She was the first Argentinian journalist to participate in the Journalism Workshop given by Nobel Prize Colombian writer Gabriel García Márquez at the Universidad Autonónoma de Madrid, Spain (1995). During her career, Ms. Andaló was recipient of numerous awards, including the First Prize in Scientific Reporting by Argentinian Medical Association (1999) and the Public Service Award by the Department of Health of the city of Buenos Aires (1999).
Ms. Hernandez joined HolaDoctor's Team as the Special Projects & Sales Marketing Manager in 2012 and is based in Los Angeles. She has more than 13 years creating and managing interactive projects in the US and Latin America, with a strong experience in web development and multiplatform integrated marketing campaigns.
Originally from Argentina, Ms. Hernandez moved to Miami in 2001, where she began her career in Univision.com, managing projects and online implementations for almost 10 years. Since 2003, she has also lead (as a personal project), Despatriados.com an Online Community of Argentines living abroad, with more than 10,000 members around the world. In her native Buenos Aires, she developed Psicolink.com, a website focused on mental health with self-assessment quizzes and online consultations.
Ms. Hernandez studied Media at the University of Buenos Aries and in parallel received an advertising copy writing bachelors from the prestigious academy managed by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Argentina.
Ms. Juárez Santoyo is the soul of HolaDoctor’s social media operations, where she manages large Facebook communities as well as our Twitter accounts. A well-rounded multimedia expert with a focus on social media and social marketing, Ms. Juárez Santoyo has grown our FB footprint exponentially.
Ms. Juárez Santoyo has developed very successful Social Media campaigns and strategies at prestigious Mexican institutions, such as Mexico’s Tourism Board. She managed to raise the official Facebook page of the Mexico Tourism Board, “Visit Mexico”, to third national tourism page in the world in number of followers, and second in engagement, compared with other national tourism organizations.
Ms. Juárez Santoyo has also worked as a web editor with Terra Networks, and as an editor and contributor to Mexican nationwide distribution newspapers like El Economista and Milenio Diario, focusing on topics like culture, health, travel and entertainment.
Ms. Mancilla manages our day to day SEO/SEM operations and has been instrumental in the spectacular growth of HolaDoctor’s business to consumer sites. She has experience in several areas, including web design and development, e-commerce, digital marketing and web analytics. Her previous positions include: Online Marketing Consultant of Mexico’s Tourism Board and E-commerce Manager for Interjet Airlines, one of the fastest growing airlines in the Americas.
Ms. Mancilla is currently pursuing an MSC degree in Technology Entrepreneurship at University College London.
Mr. Hernandez joined HolaDoctor in 2010 where he laid the foundation for HolaDoctor.com and ensured the site could scale to become the #1 Spanish-language health website.
Mr. Hernandez’s 13 years of experience in the web development field includes, serving as the senior application architect for Goal.com and as a senior web developer for Univision. While at Goal.com, Mr. Hernandez remotely managed a team of developers from around the world, reviewing their code, setting up and maintaining the architecture (including systems and database), and developing himself to ensure the site could handle traffic volumes such as 1600+ requests per second after major soccer matches.
Mr. Partidas joined HolaDoctor in May 2014 as a Director - Senior Technology Project Manager, bringing with him an extensive web & information technology experience developed in over 24 years of experience.
Prior to HolaDoctor, Mr. Partidas served as the CIO of Interactive Art Services, a web based 3D/2D Digital Animation Agency, running all of its technical operations across facilities in Los Angeles CA Fort Lauderdale FL, Manila Philippines, London and Berlin. Mr. Partidas was also responsible for all the company’s infrastructure as well as managing all strategic and tactical initiatives. He led a team of 6 programmers.
Prior to joining Interactive Art Services, Mr. Partidas was lead programmer at Com-Pro System, Inc. in Miami, leading and developing projects for clients such as Visa Latin America and Federal Mogul. He also worked for a series of ISP and Internet related companies in Venezuela, completing a period of 10 IT/Management related work prior to move to the USA.
Mr. Partidas was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and has been living in the USA for 14 years. He received his Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences in Rider University.
Mr. Tejeda joined HolaDoctor in 2012 as Project Manager. He has over 14 years of experience in the digital world, with a deep understanding of digital media, software development, marketing and advertising. During his career, he has worked for important companies such as AOL, where he led Latin American development efforts; Televisa, the largest Media company in Latin America; and Mexico’s Tourism Board, where he managed a multimillion dollar digital budget.
Mr. Tejeda studied at Universidad Iberoamericana in México City, where he got a degree in Computer Sciences.
